With Artas Construction as its investor, Radisson Blu Hotel Kayseri is one of the biggest investments of the construction company in the city of Kayseri, Turkey. Located at the center of Turkey’s industrial capitol Kayseri in Melikgazi district, alongside Sivas street, adjacent to the one of the largest mall buildings in district, Forum Kayseri, providing the structure a great advantage in terms of commute. The edifice also has a direct view looking over Mountain Erciyes, the symbol of the city, also one of Kayseri’s famous attractions for all skiing enthusiasts.

The building consists of 19 stories and 2 basements, with amenities ranging from 244 rooms and suits, ballroom, meeting facilities, buffet, restaurant, rooftop dining halls and lounges, pastry shop, fitness club and spa providing a wide range of services to its guests, granting the hotel the 3rd place amongst Radisson Blu’s Best hotels ranking of 2017 and 10th best hotel amongst others in Turkey.

The hotel mass is shaped by two main simple sub-masses. The horizontal one, functions as the base of the complex, has minimal segmentations within, to emphasize the entrance, and inner functions. Used materials also work with these segmentations harmoniously. The base contains, meeting facilities, buffet, restaurant, pastry shop, fitness club and spa functions.

The vertical mass on the other hand, is divided into 2 shifting and intersecting parts. The movement and positioning of the masses located according to references from Mount Erciyes. Therefore both facades have their own characteristic features and their strengths. The building is observable from all angles because of the low profile average height of the buildings around. This allowed the opportunity to create dynamic facades with use of 3 main materials’ combinations.
