Located in the northern part of Baku, the Yasamal Alatava Housing Complex introduces a comprehensive social housing vision that embraces both urban connectivity and community well-being. Positioned south of Abdulvahab Salamzade Street and in close proximity to Zerdabi Avenue, the site offers direct access to Baku’s major arterial roads and public transit, including a short 3 km distance to Builders Metro Station.

As part of a strategic urban development area, the project integrates residential, commercial, educational, and recreational functions across two main parcels separated by a central green corridor. This linear green space is programmed with walking trails, sports fields, children’s playgrounds, and community facilities including a dedicated cultural center and two educational buildings ensuring that social needs are addressed in a landscape-driven urban fabric.

The housing blocks follow a diverse typological structure ranging from 1+1 to 4+1 units, offering scalable, efficient, and sun-oriented layouts. The layout was informed by sun and wind analysis, ensuring passive climate control and optimized daylighting. A variety of massing strategies and façade articulations balconies, decks, and terraces reinforce both the urban rhythm and domestic comfort.

Commercial units on the ground floors activate the perimeter edges, while pedestrian-focused inner landscapes create a buffer between residential zones and vehicular traffic. This thoughtful zoning provides spatial clarity, safety, and a sense of belonging key qualities for sustainable social living in the heart of a growing Baku.
