Located in Istanbul’s northern Göktürk district, the Kemerburgaz Eyüpsultan Villas by EKGYO reinterpret low-density living through a contemporary lens nestled within a landscape historically shaped by aqueducts and framed by expansive forest corridors. The project is strategically situated along a connector route of the E80 highway, offering proximity to Istanbul Airport and the future M11 metro line’s Göktürk station.
Topography-Informed Orientation and Central Circulation
The design leverages the site’s natural slope to orient each villa toward surrounding landscape views, creating a fluid relationship between terrain and built form. A central circulation spine organizes movement and parcels the residential zones, allowing for spatial clarity while promoting pedestrian permeability.
Terraced Base System and Layered Green Integration
At the core of the architectural strategy lies a base platform system from which green terraces are articulated. These planted platforms mediate between indoor and outdoor life, offering visual continuity, privacy, and tranquility. The villas merge functional planning with refined aesthetics, forming a serene residential enclave that reflects the layered history and natural assets of the Kemerburgaz region.
