Urban Continuity and Adaptive Renewal

The Forum Trabzon Project reimagines an existing retail structure through a comprehensive renovation that elevates its role within the city. Located at a strategic junction in Trabzon, the project transforms the former mall into a dynamic and future oriented shopping and lifestyle destination. Instead of demolishing and rebuilding, the design adopts a sustainable approach by modernizing the existing structure offering both architectural continuity and a renewed user experience.

Architectural Approach and Spatial Strategy

The design emphasizes openness, fluidity, and connectivity across all levels. Through the integration of contemporary materials and transparent façades, the project creates visual permeability between indoor and outdoor spaces. Generous public zones, wide circulation areas, and curated rest points promote social engagement, while green roofs and planted terraces soften the built environment and offer breathing spaces throughout the commercial complex.

Program Diversity and User Experience

Forum Trabzon introduces a mix of high-end retail, local brands, gastronomy venues, and entertainment areas, forming a rich programmatic palette tailored to a diverse urban audience. New dining terraces, multi-purpose event zones, and children’s recreation areas activate the public realm and reinforce the mall’s identity as a vibrant social hub. The spatial organization enhances wayfinding and ensures smooth transitions between interior galleries and outdoor promenades.

Community Impact and Urban Value

By revitalizing a well established urban node, the project strengthens local commerce and amplifies the city’s economic vitality. The upgraded Forum Trabzon not only meets evolving retail expectations but also supports community life through inclusive and welcoming public spaces. As a renewed urban landmark, it contributes to Trabzon’s cultural and commercial dynamism with a forward-thinking architectural language.
