Seyrantepe Primary and Middle School Project
Located in the Seyrantepe district of Istanbul, this educational campus is designed to accommodate both primary and middle school functions on a 12,000 m² site. The total construction area is approximately 13,413.88 m² and includes 24 classrooms for the primary school, 24 classrooms for the middle school, and 8 kindergarten classrooms. The site is structured to offer a dynamic learning environment with a strong integration of outdoor spaces and circulation axes.
Urban Context and Site Access
The project is situated at the intersection of Lale Sokak and Cesur Sokak, benefiting from two main access points for vehicles and pedestrians. Service and drop-off areas are clearly defined at both entrances, ensuring smooth vehicular and pedestrian flow. Each building block has direct access to outdoor courtyards and green spaces.
Functional Organization and Spatial Layout
The school complex is divided into three main blocks: primary school, middle school, and kindergarten. Between the buildings are ceremony courtyards and playgrounds that promote social interaction and outdoor activities. Shared facilities such as the canteen, student clubs, and sports courts are distributed around a central green spine that connects the lower garden to the upper terraces.
Circulation and Open Space Configuration
Vertical and horizontal circulation cores are centrally located in each block, ensuring functional clarity and ease of access. Playgrounds and open areas are positioned on different elevation levels, with the “Alt Bahçe” (Lower Garden) and sports courts activating the site’s slope. The design emphasizes permeability between built and open spaces, creating a lively and interconnected educational environment.
