As a key component of the Oyakkent Master Plan, Oyakkent 5 Medyan reinterprets the urban square as a hybrid civic and ecological platform. Located adjacent to Başakşehir’s central urban core including the National Garden, Başakşehir City Hospital, Ibn Haldun University, and Başakşehir Square this phase positions itself at the intersection of major social infrastructure and a growing demand for accessible, nature-oriented urban living.
81% of the site area is reserved for landscaped open spaces, enabling the architecture to dissolve into greenery rather than dominate it. The planning logic reflects a boulevard typology: commercial ground floors line pedestrian oriented streets, while residential units rise above, forming an integrated, human-scaled urban rhythm. The project promotes an active daily life through its generous open spaces, including sports fields, playgrounds, and gathering nodes designed to accommodate a wide range of residents.
