Erciyes Pediatric Hematology Oncology Hospital is not only significant for the city of Kayseri but also for the entire country of Turkey. The project is situated within the boundaries of Erciyes University Hospital, approximately 4 hours away from the capital city of Ankara. While there are only 5 hospitals with oncology units in the city, there are only 2 hospitals with pediatric oncology units, and one of them being a private hospital, which limits its accessibility to the general public. Therefore, the planned addition of the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology unit to Erciyes University Hospitals holds great importance as it will be the largest and most comprehensive pediatric hematological and oncological hospital in Turkey.
The interior design of the hospital focuses on creating a spacious and colorful environment. Nurse rooms are centrally located on each floor to facilitate easy access from patient rooms, increasing control and efficiency. Furthermore, play areas are designed on each floor to minimize the perception of the hospital environment and maximize the happiness of children.
