Our Tugh City Planning project in Azerbaijan has been named a finalist in the Vision for Localism category of the 2026 Architizer Vision Awards.
Rooted in Tugh’s cultural heritage and local identity, the masterplan reflects our broader approach to reconstruction and urban regeneration in Azerbaijan, where rebuilding extends beyond restoring physical environments to shaping resilient, sustainable communities for the future.
The project brings together local values, cultural heritage and contemporary urban planning principles, exploring how architecture and urban development can respond to the evolving needs of communities while preserving the unique identity of a place.
Through our ongoing work across the region, we continue to explore how architecture and urban planning can connect the character of a place with the changing needs of its people, contributing to more inclusive, sustainable and resilient urban environments.
Being named a finalist at the Architizer Vision Awards 2026 provides an opportunity to share this vision on an international platform, highlighting the importance of locally rooted approaches to sustainable urban development.
We look forward to carrying this approach forward through our ongoing projects, strengthening the connection between cultural heritage, local identity and the future of urban communities.
