SP Architects Participates in Urban October 2026, Connecting Urban Development and Climate Action

SP Architects participated in Urban October 2026, held from 5–8 October 2026 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre in Muscat, Oman, joining international discussions on the future of cities, housing, climate adaptation, and sustainable urban development.

Opening on World Habitat Day, this year’s event focused on the theme “Adequate Housing for All”, highlighting the importance of accessible, inclusive, and high-quality living environments in creating more sustainable and resilient cities.

Throughout the four-day event, SP Architects engaged with professionals, decision-makers, and industry representatives from around the world, exchanging perspectives on contemporary urban challenges, climate-responsive design, and the evolving relationship between architecture, cities, and the environment.

As the architects of COP31 Antalya 2026, SP Architects approached Urban October as part of a broader journey from cities to climate, connecting discussions in Muscat with the global dialogue on climate action ahead of COP31 in Antalya. The event provided an opportunity to explore how architecture and urban planning can contribute to more resilient, adaptable, and sustainable urban environments.

Urban October 2026 also provided a valuable platform for building new connections, sharing experiences, and exploring potential collaborations focused on long-term urban development and climate resilience.
